Funding Strategy

SARNIA BACE will be delivered in phases to match resources with need, protect quality, and manage risk. The funding strategy aligns municipal support with grants, philanthropy, and earned revenues.

A registered charitable foundation will receive donations and manage design and construction. Upon completion, a not-for-profit operating corporation will oversee daily operations, programming, and member engagement—ensuring that the facility remains inclusive, sustainable, and community-driven.

Funding sources include:

  • Municipal contributions and infrastructure grants
  • Philanthropic donations and corporate sponsorships
  • Program revenues, rentals, and event hosting
  • Community fundraising and volunteer support

Transparent reporting and public accountability are central to the strategy. Plain, trackable measures will guide long-term decision-making and ensure that every dollar contributes to lasting community benefit.

The project has received letters of support from all levels of government, major community organizations, and recreation groups. Ongoing dialogue with school boards, Indigenous partners, and health agencies will expand collaboration and unlock new funding opportunities.
